Finch Box is a subscription box that delivers modern craft supplies and projects to modern crafters. All ages, all crafty persuasions, all are welcome!
I am such a sucker for subscription boxes – but since I’ve started sewing I haven’t found one that I love. When Finch Knitting and Sewing Studio announced their subscription box – The Finch Box – I couldn’t wait to sign up – it sounded like the perfect box! https://downzup847.weebly.com/blog/grand-jackpot-slots.
Finch Knitting and Sewing Studio is located in Leesburg, VA, about 40 minutes from where I live, and is a multi-crafter’s dream. With both sewing and knitting supplies – including all my favorite yarn brands and all my favorite indie pattern designers – it is all in one roof! It also is a Bernina dealer – which is where I bought my 765 sewing machine and my Bernina serger.
I love Finch’s mantra – You Belong Here – a mantra I think that is more true than ever in today’s society. In the box, there was a fun card (that was beautiful, by the way) that had the story of Finch and a letter from the Finch. The story of where Finch got it’s name gave me chills – Recoverit video repair 1 1 0 42.
We are often asked where our name comes from…Finch. Head Finch, Nicole, is quite the bird lover, but more importantly, her work as an English teacher helped her discover that her favorite book is To Kill a Mocking Bird. Winner com casino. Everything about Atticus Finch’s respectful approach to people, no matter their perceived differences, was exactly what Nicole wanted Finch to be: a place for everyone to come together and find common ground.
So beautiful right?
The thing that attracted me most to the Finch box was that there was survey to fill out where you could provide your preferences – do you like notions or full projects? Do you like knitting, sewing, or a little bit of both? Now I don’t really remember what my responses were – but it’s so fun getting a box that was curated for me!
As they were prepping the first box they were teasing all of the fun things they were including and they did not disappoint. So let’s dig into the first box!
Gamestop delete account. The project included in my box was this cute zipper caddy. I thought it was just a zipper pouch and I was like oh man but that tray is so cute too. Then I realized that WAIT – the zipper pouch turns into the tray! That’s so cool. They included everything you need to make the project – fabric for the outer and inner parts of the bag, a zipper, four snaps and an awesome tag that says “Finch Tribe.”
The project came with a full pattern all wrapped in in a ribbon.
As part of the first box they also included a t-shirt. They had two designs you could choose from and you could pick your size. I cannot imagine the amount of work that went into planning on these boxes, but it’s amazing.
I have been obsessed with enamel pins recently so I squealed when I saw the enamel pins they included – I got the two shown above. Both are being added to my sewing bag immediately!
Because all of that wasn’t enough, they included a beautiful art print with the quote “I feel that in every girl there is a spirit, a wild pixie that if let go would run & dance in grassy fields until the end of time.” We’re moving this week (hello personal hell, it’s nice to meet you – I must have forgotten how much I HATE moving….anyways) and I want to include a gallery wall in our new apartment and I think this might be one of the pieces!
Finally, they included a Wild & Free patch to go along with the art print.
I can’t wait for the next box – I love that the project was small, easy and very repeatable. Free kangaroo games. I am always looking for cute small projects for gifts and this is definitely getting added! Everything about this box was so well thought out and personalized. I can’t wait to see what everyone else got!
PS – signups are now open for the next box if you’re dying to get one of your own!
